Developing Excellent Minds
As Director of Julia’s Child Development Educational Program (JCDEP), Julia A. Da Silva-Beharry has been in the business of educating children since 1990. Founder, wife, and parent of two wonderful children, she brings years of experience to her classroom program.
Julia occupied key positions as an elementary, infant, and toddler school teacher at Pathway Child Development Center and at Kids R Kids. She also taught as the Project Head at Friendship Youth Development Center, was Youth Director at the Young Christian Women Association, and served as Project Director and elementary summer school teacher at the First Assembly of God. At present, Julia voluntary offer her expertise as a volunteer at Jericho Christian Academy and Caregiver at Trinity Assembly of God Nursery.
The decision to take up formal Child Development Education and Educational Technology arises out of her commitment and dedication towards working with children. Julia's motto is, “A Seed Today, A Plant Tomorrow, Developing Excellent Minds for the Future.”Julia's expertise and her children’s learning classroom together strive towards such a goal, making this the ideal choice for your family's children educational/childcare needs, a sure stop towards guaranteeing their future development and success.
Julia is a certified and licensed childcare provider by the Maryland State Department of Education. She is also a graduate with a Master's of Education in Instructional Technology, and a Bachelor's of Social Science degree in Economics. Her educational service remains committed to excellence and she ensure this by remaining updated on the most current teaching and training methods. Updating technology and educational training are an important part of Julia's routine operation.
THE MISSION
Julia’s Child Development Educational Program mission is to communicate with real life experiences to make abstract concepts come to life by empowering the next generation, spiritually, academically, socially, physically, and economically. Our primary goal is to provide a quality early childhood educational program for all our children in a nurturing environment that will enable students to build upon their prior knowledge a solid foundation for their future. We provide a work environment for our employees that will sustain harmony, team effort, professional growth and development. We are committed to work and serve as resource to families and the community on issues related to parenting and child development.
THE STAFF
JCDEP instructors and tutors are highly qualified/certified educators and childcare professionals. Our staff has a love and passion for inspiring student learning because they are dedicated and committed towards developing excellent minds for the future.
THE ADVISORY COUNCIL
The JCDEP Advisory Council consist of professionals in the field of education, instructional/education technology, foreign languages, event planning and human resources. These educators use their expertise and skills to advise JCDEP administrators on the best practices towards sustaining 21st century learning for early learners.
